Only four more days until Christmas! So excited!
But to get straight into things, here's today's etsy artist, Julie from Elves in the Attic. (You can also find her on Twitter, Facebook and Flickr.)
"I have enjoyed dabbling with paper, scissors and glue since I was a wee lass. My Etsy shop primarily features individually made, hand-crafted cards though I also enjoy creating scrapbooks, tags and the like. My tools are paper, stamps, ink, sometimes and little bling, ribbons, and the whisperings of my muse. ElvesInTheAttic is a spin-off of a creative endeavor started with a good friend about 12 years ago. Both of us being crafty sorts, we designed custom scrapbooks for clients who didn’t have the time or inclination to make them for themselves. Motherhood soon demanded more of our time and the elves quietly retreated to the attic for 8 years. Friends and family kept prodding me to sell my cards and one, who is also a seller on Etsy, suggested I give it a whirl. And so ElvesInTheAttic rose again like a phoenix from the ashes to grace the pages of Etsy.
As you look through the shop you’ll notice that my style tends towards simple fare without much clutter; if I can throw a bit of whimsy or humor in there all the better. The mini albums I make are interactive with flaps to lift, pockets to fill and hidden elements to discover. Being an avid collector of paper scraps, I occasionally am forced to purge my stash; hence the recycled tag series.
Being an Etsy shop owner has been a great experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed the customers I’ve worked with and getting to know so many creative souls through the Etsy teams. Thank you for taking a peek into The Attic. Wishing you the best in 2011!"
