After an unschedule break last week, we're back on track. *Phew* Today is my mom's birthday, and I write this while sitting on the counter in the kitchen, waiting to dry dishes while my brother washes up. He and I made pork chops and applesauce and onion-mushroom-potato goodness for dinner. And it was all very good.
Anyways, I'm excited to introduce this week's featured artist, Harmony. I got to know about her work through her sister, who I met a couple years ago. She has an Etsy shop called Feed Your Soul Art and a blog by the same name. Here's what she's got to say:
" Hi I'm Harmony. I a mixed media artist and art journal book maker. In this season I am discovering what life would be like if I stopped just dreaming and started creating from my dreams. It is an amazing process to reveal what is inside of me in the mediums of paint, canvas, and paper. I struggle with the voices inside my head that daily tell me that I am not good enough to be an artist. These are lies that the world tries to put on me. I am breaking free, becoming my true self, and finding that there is a wonderfully creative mother and a balanced happy wife inside of there. I adore blending creativity and art into daily living. It feeds my soul and heals me from the inside out. I am full of joy when I am covered in paint. I believe life is about living out our passions (those are God-given!) and creating community based in Love, Authenticity, and Joy. Art helps me do that. Art makes me the best version of myself. Please stop by my blog sometime and say hello. http://www.feedyoursoulart.com I love connecting with other creative people in this world. Be blessed and MAKE ART!! :) harmony"
