Etsy Tuesdays: Devon of Once Upon a Pedestal

Well folks, here it is, the last of the Etsy Tuesdays from Etsy Rain!  Yikes!  This series started back in mid-November, and it's already March.  Can you believe that?!  Thanks to all of you who participated and took the time to write up bios and send me links and photos.  It's been so much fun to meet you all (online) and to see what you do.  I'm going to be taking an extended break from blogging in order to prepare for the beginning of farmer's markets.  I'm also going to be moving overseas this summer, beginning with with a month (July) teaching English in Malawi, Africa and then moving to northern Wales to work with the Christian organization Youth with a Mission.  So things are going to get busy here.  I'll still try to put something on this blog and my personal blog sporadically. 

Again, thank you all.  It's been an honor to let others know about the wonderful things that you do. :D

My name is Devon and I'm the artist from One Upon A Pedestal. I've lived in WA my whole life, can't seem to leave the water and trees! I love to bake, go camping and watch movies. I come from a creative family of photographers, cake decorators and other artists

I had been looking and looking, but couldn't find a cake stand in the stores that I liked, so I thought I'd try making one of my own. I always see the neatest plates out there and my first idea was to look at thrift shops. Sure enough I started finding some amazing items to piece together. I really enjoy coming across a gem!
