Opps. There it is! I finally found the ball that I dropped. Today, we're having back to the future Etsy Tuesdays with Jennifer Martin, who owns the shop j Designs on Etsy. Here's what she's got to say!
"Hi, my name is Jennifer Martin and I make jewelry, decorative hair clips, and a wide variety of other accessory items. I am married with no kids but I do have a very spoiled dog that keeps me entertained. I have been creating jewelry since I was 12 am self taught in many of my techniques.
This past June I was laid off from a job that I thought I would be at for years to come, however the economy finally took its hold on my company. My husband and I discussed our options and then he (amazingly) told me to follow my dream, take advantage of this time at home and start my jewelry business finally. Every day that I spend creating new items is like a dream come true. My world has become more colorful, stress-free, and more fulfilling, as I had left behind that part of me that once wanted to create when I was younger. And to top it off, I get to stay home and play with my dog more! I would describe my design style as “girly and fun” with many traditional styles included. I have worked with beads for the longest time, but have recently been exploring resin and suspending personal and fun items to be preserved forever. Although I have been creating jewelry and accessories for years, I am still learning how to market my items and am exploring selling online through Etsy and have also been participating in local craft shows in my area. The craft shows came first, with a strong and positive response to my work, so I decided to try selling on Etsy because I have had such good experiences buying on Etsy in the past.
