This Etsy Tuesday brings us Rachel Sommers, who makes beautiful containers to decorate your home. You can find her shop, November Sound, here. I got to know Rachel a couple years ago when we both lived on the same boat. In Albainia. Fun times! But that was before she became Rachel Sommers and started selling on Etsy. Here's her story:
My story is pretty simple. I love cute things and I love crafting. I just got married a couple months ago and have started finding unique and interesting things to decorate my house with. I love simple things that have great lines, contrast, sharpness, and color. My products on my Etsy shop, November Sound, are all things that I made first for my own home. I've wanted to sell on Etsy for a long time, but was intimidated by the idea of people seeing the things I made, and judging them. But one day after I made my Baker's Canisters for my kitchen, I sat back and thought "I could sell this". So I took a couple of pictures and put the first listing on Etsy. After seeing the positive responses from people visiting my shop, I started making more products and adding them. I am so happy that I have been able to sell things that I love. I love making my own product, and realizing that people really love them as well. My idea is to continue making simple and useful things for your home. I'm basically just beginning to understand what it is to have a house and be a wife and all that comes with that. I have found that making things that compliment my home is something that relaxes me and gives me enjoyment. I'm glad that I am able to share that through Etsy.
Thanks Rachel, and best wishes for your shop and new life as a married woman!
